Hi everybody! I'm Kassie!
I suppose I should give you all a little background information if I expect you to read this.
Where to start... Well, I'm a 30 year old, semi-single-ish, female, unemployed, college student. I'm living with my parents right now, and I LOVE VIDEO GAMES!
Unfortunately, the previous statement is true. On a side note, it wasn't always like this. I had a fiance, a good job, and a home with a dog and a cat a bit over a year ago. Things just kinda took a turn for the worse. The good news is I'm going to have a degree in December! My ex-fiance and I are patching things up, and looking for a home together. (We didn't break up because we fell out of love. We broke up because we were broke and had way too much stress.)
After I got laid off from my job, my other half and I decided it was my chance to go back to school, so I became a full-time student plus some. Meaning, I'm trying to complete a 2 and a half year program in a year and a half. So far things are on track, and as long as there are no major explosions this semester, I'll be done in December. Unfortunately, with my school load, I find it difficult to find a suitable part time job. Not for lack of trying. I got a job at the local video rental store, which was working out quite well. I knew the manager, and I liked it there, but then the corporate office came in and closed the store two months after I started. I spent this spring and the first part of the summer working at a locally owned restaurant. Then the owners decided to shorten their hours during the week to only cover the lunch rush, and being the lowest on the totem pole, I was out again.
So, I need to make some money. Classes are starting up again at the end of the month. I'm going to be super busy this semester. I need something I can do when I can get around to it, not when they want me to be there. Now I just have to find something that works! Wish me luck!
